Precautions for the use of the discharge counter of a lightning arrester

Before and after 1~2 years of operation, the discharge counter should be tested, and its project is:
(1) the multimeter is used to measure the pressure at the outlet of the discharge counter DC resistance between the valve sheet resistance meter in battery voltage enough million, a certain resistance, either zero or infinite (about 10~50) to confirm it is not a short circuit or open circuit phenomenon.

(2) detection of the action performance of a lightning arrester online monitor, one of the 500V shaker, 600V, 9-10 F capacitor, is needed.
First turn the shake table to charge the capacitor charging stability, while maintaining the shake table speed, disconnect the charging circuit, then the capacitor will be charged on both ends of a discharge discharge counter, counter should record at a time. 10 consecutive tests, the pointer rotation can be accurate and reliable action, the discharge counter is considered to be in good performance. Otherwise, it must be overhauled.

The lacquer layer on the end surface of two flange 11 mounting holes on the flange is scraped off to ensure good contact. The discharge counter should be installed near the base of the lightning arrester to make it easy to look at the inspection position and serve as the grounding end. The high pressure outlet is connected to the upper flange of the lightning arrester's insulation base, and the discharge counter flange is connected to the lower flange of the lightning arrester's insulation base. There should be no obvious inclination of the discharge counter after the installation. Pay attention to the M10 nut coated with red lacquer and six M6 x 20 bolts on the floor so as not to break loose at will, so as not to destroy the seal. The pulling force of the lead end of the high pressure outlet should not be more than 98N.

If the pointer of the discharge counter of a lightning arrester is not in zero position, the number that is counted on the counter is the base number. If we want to transfer it to zero, we can proceed according to first (2) methods.

When discharging counters are discharged from live lines, wires should be connected to the upper and lower flanges of the insulation base of the lightning arresters first and then reliably disconnected. Then the discharge counters are removed.

When repairing the discharge counter, we should pay attention to keeping it sealed. Once it is opened, it must be dried and sealed before it is repaired, and it can be put into operation after being qualified by sealing test.

In operation, the original paint part of the discharge counter should be painted every 1-2 years so as not to rust.
